Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Nursing Resource Office Tele Float Pool. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care across multiple units, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a telemetry environment, utilizing advanced skills in medication administration and monitoring.
• Float to various units as needed based on skills and unit demands.
• Participate in orientation and clinical training to understand specific unit protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Some holidays required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum telemetry experience, including administration and monitoring of medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin.
• Progressive Care and ICU experience preferred, including familiarity with Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynepherine, and Dobutamine.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required only for ICU candidates.

Orientation and Training

The orientation schedule includes:

• Day 1 & 2: New Employee Orientation/Clinical Skills Training at the Kansas City Campus.
• Day 3: Orientation at Liberty Hospital and clinical orientation.
• Day 4: Continuation of clinical orientation.
• Day 5: Completion of computer work followed by unit assignments.
