License: Compact license must be in hand at submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Client RN experience - Comfortable with the NIH scale - Proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurology diagnoses Description: This position will float between units as necessary. Weekends are required every other weekend. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:5. Special requirements include experience with telemetry and neurosurgery patients. The nurse will assist in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and perform pre and post-neurosurgery care. This is a designated stroke unit and a spine center of excellence. There will be support from interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities as needed. Effective communication skills are crucial for providing high-quality patient care. Must commit to working three of the five major holidays. References are required covering experience within the last three years. No call-ins are permitted unless for an agreed-upon interview.
