This position will float between units as needed. Weekends are required, with every other weekend scheduled. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. Candidates should be well-versed in the NIH stroke scale and other neurological conditions. Experience with telemetry and neurosurgery patients is essential. The unit focuses on neuroscience, providing care for neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients. The facility is a designated stroke unit and is thrombectomy capable. Additional knowledge of procedures related to brain and spinal injuries is beneficial. Strong charting skills are necessary, with specific experience in Epic required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should be open to floating and supporting nearby facilities if necessary. This position requires commitment to working holidays, including Thanksgiving and New Year’s. All requests for time off should be submitted upfront. The role emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient care. This position is vital for maintaining the high standard of care expected in the unit.
