Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience and reading EKGs; qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle a fast-paced unit with multiple admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to set priorities and modify patient care based on changing conditions, exhibiting good judgment; effective communication skills to notify physicians of patient condition changes.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves working on a 25-bed cardiac telemetry unit with essential equipment such as EKG machines, Hoyer lifts, and LifePak devices. Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude. The unit operates with a staffing model that includes charge RNs, RNs, techs, and a unit secretary. Shifts are scheduled every third Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with additional coverage during holidays and special events.
