Job Description
Seeking experienced Travel Telemetry Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide care for adult patients with cardiac, neurological, and other acute medical conditions. Candidates must have recent telemetry experience and a background in a Level I Trauma facility.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients with cardiac and acute medical conditions.
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Monitor oxygen therapy and provide non-invasive airway management.
- Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and provide IV therapy.
- Manage central and peripheral lines and administer blood products.
- Monitor patients with stroke, post-MI, and pre-/post-cardiac catheterization conditions.
- Follow infection prevention and isolation protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Float to other telemetry units as needed.
Requirements
- Active Florida or Compact RN license in hand.
- Minimum 3 years of recent telemetry experience.
- Level I Trauma experience required.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Epic experience required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited institution; Operation Nightingale school graduates are not accepted.
- Recent acute-care experience must meet facility requirements, including consecutive experience within the past 24 months in a U.S. hospital.
Schedule & Additional Requirements
- Every other weekend.
- Holidays as needed; holiday scheduling requirements apply.
- No block scheduling requests.
- Must be willing to float to other telemetry floors.
- Interview availability must be included with the candidate submission.
- Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting required.
- Compliance lab appointment must be completed within 72 hours of signing.
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a lower rate.
- Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations are allowed.
- Eight hours of RN onboarding modules are non-billable and must be completed before the start date.
