- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 on night shifts
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring
- Availability to work every other weekend
Description:
We have a 54-bed cardiovascular telemetry unit split into three wings.
Telemetry patients also receive care in our overflow unit.
Applicants with flexible scheduling are preferred.
Weekend shifts will be required, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
If any holiday occurs during the assignment period, the applicant may be scheduled to work.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
Experience with various cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation and NSTEMI is essential.
Candidates must be fluent in cardiac rhythms, post-cardiac surgery care, and managing cardiac drips.
Wound care experience is also necessary.
Floating may be requested based on facility needs.
Candidates should have experience with electronic health record systems.
NIH and stroke education is required for all nursing staff.
All candidates must have specialty experience within the last year.
Requests for time off should be kept to a minimum, ideally no more than 7 days total.
