Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves floating across multiple units within a hospital to provide specialized patient care in telemetry and acute medical-surgical environments. The position requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to manage diverse patient populations across various units.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 09/20/2026 and ending on 12/19/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location, 2 years experience as a traveler.
- Skill Sets Required: Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours, TR Band experience, ability to perform cardiac drips, and read telemetry strips.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in telemetry or related acute care settings.
- Additional Information: Role involves caring for patients in emergency department border areas, mental health units, and ICU patients who are transfer-ready. Clinicians will work in a unit with a bed count of 371, covering units ranging from 8 to 41 beds, with a patient-to-clinician ratio of up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights. Candidates must be willing to float across multiple hospital units, including Med/Surg telemetry, ED, mental health, and ICU. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC.
