Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
- Traveler experience preferred unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
- Required skills include Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, and Management of Cardiac drips.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and potentially float to other units as needed.
- Must have the ability to manage chest tubes, external CPAP/BiPAP, and nasal cannulas.
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancel and DNR.
Ratios vary per acuity.
Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down, and 1:5-6 for lower acuity.
Orientation hours are provided.
Candidates must be willing to work four weekends per four weeks.
Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event or disaster.
Special procedures include CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, and others.
Patient diagnoses include Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, among others.
Experience with specific equipment such as arterial lines, EKG, and chest tubes is preferred.
Candidates must be comfortable floating within or near the facility as necessary.
All candidates will be interviewed and must pass EKG testing prior to starting.
