Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiac Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.

Shift Details

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 NIGHTS (19:00 to 07:30)
Weekend coverage: Every other weekend, subject to changes based on facility needs
Floating: Required to other units or facilities as necessary

Patient Population

The unit focuses on adult patients with a variety of cardiac conditions, including but not limited to:

Sepsis
Myocardial Infarction (MI)
Unstable Angina
Coronary Artery Disease
Patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation

Unit Specific Procedures and Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for administering specialized care procedures, which may include:

Administration of vasoactive drugs
Administering antiarrhythmic therapy
Thrombolytic therapy
Defibrillation and cardioversion
Thoracentesis
Cardiac telemetry monitoring
Electrocardiogram (EKG) monitoring
Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Minimum of one year of experience with the EPIC electronic health record system
At least two years of nursing experience in a related field is preferred, though candidates with strong experience may be considered
