Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: This position delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The nurse supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Care coordination is performed in collaboration with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion. The nursing role involves collecting relevant data pertinent to patient health or situations. Assessment data is analyzed to determine diagnoses and care issues. A plan is developed that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. The nurse implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Progress towards attaining outcomes is evaluated. Outcomes for patients or their situations are identified. Collaboration occurs with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Learning opportunities are provided for patients, families, and team members. Health information is directly given to patients and treatment teams. Participation in discharge planning is essential for continuity of care. Duties of healthcare team members are delegated appropriately and coordinated.
