Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 3x12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Holiday RTO will not be approved Description: The position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Nursing staff activities are supervised and directed. Coordination of care with other disciplines is essential while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. The nurse will collect relevant data pertinent to patient health situations. Assessment data is analyzed to determine diagnosis and care issues. A care plan prescribing interventions is developed to attain desired outcomes. The plan is implemented while coordinating care delivery and promoting a safe environment. Progress toward attaining outcomes is evaluated. Outcomes for the patient or patients’ situations are identified. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers is key to providing safe and humane care. Learning opportunities for patients and team members are provided. Direct health information is communicated to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participation in discharge planning is necessary for continuity of care. Delegation and coordination of duties of healthcare team members are performed. Additional job-related duties may be assigned as needed.
