Night shift staffing grid calls for 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 unit secretary. Patient Ratios: 1:6 on day shift, 1:7 on night shift. Type of equipment: Telemetry, PCA, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, TPN, tube feeds, urinary catheters. EMR: Cerner. Typical Hiring Profile: Skill set most recruited for includes telemetry competency. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Typical procedures performed include TPN, PCA, wound vacs, tube feeds, PEG tubes, dobhoffs, NG tubes, colostomies, urostomies, drains, heparin drips, IV antibiotics, and various surgical procedures. Best Personality Fit: Positive, smiling, and engaging demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment. Good communication skills with charge nurse, unit secretary, providers, and CNA team. Floating Areas: Other med-surg areas. Dress Code: Navy blue pants, navy blue or white scrub top and jacket (if needed), white undershirt (if needed). No sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies, coats, or jackets. Weekends and On-call: Requires 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. General Comments: Position is a contractor replacement.
