Description:
This position is for a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry.
The unit consists of 37 beds and a dedicated team of 12 staff members.
During the day shift, there are 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk.
The night shift consists of 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Technicians.
Patient ratios are approximately 1:6, with 1:4 for Heart Catheterization patients.
This role requires proficiency in using PCA pumps, IV pumps, and managing chest tubes.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) system is preferred, specifically Meditech.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include central lines and medication drips.
Heart Catheter recovery and bubble studies are also common activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, be engaged, and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
