Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Telemetry- Obtain and record initial assessment and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
- Develop and implement a measurable, individualized plan of care within established time frames
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcomes
- Participate in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning
- Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
- Evaluate the plan of care regularly
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Telemetry- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- Experience relevant to the Telemetry clinical area
- Effective communication skills suitable for patient population served
