Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Prior travel experience. Experience managing continuous IV medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, and insulin drips. Description: The position requires experience with managing cardiac drips and continuous IV medications. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Candidates must have a solid understanding of arrhythmia management, including stable A-Fib, SVT, and Bradycardia. Duties include performing cardioversion and managing patients with cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal, and pulmonary issues. Surgical patients and occasional ortho or CVA patients may also be part of the workload. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 and may float between units as required. Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring are essential. Compliance and attendance on major holidays are expected as part of the role. Responsibility for managing TR Bands and performing basic care for post-cardiac catheterization patients is included. Candidates are expected to manage various medications as specified and care for surgical patients as needed. Telemetry competency is required, along with skills in starting and maintaining IVs. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to respond to medical emergencies and utilize rapid response teams. Overall, the role involves caring for patients with critical needs in a fast-paced telemetry setting.
