Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Telemetry/Med-Surg/PCU unit with patient ratios of 4-5:1
Monitor patients using a GE Telemetry system and document care using the Meditech EMR
Perform IV and Foley catheter insertions as part of routine unit procedures
Assist with chest tube removal in accordance with unit protocols
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, CNAs, and sitters across day and night shifts
Demonstrate initiative and serve as an engaged, proactive team member within the unit
Required Qualifications
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Telemetry experience
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience caring for post-operative CABG patients
Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Outgoing, team-oriented personality with a willingness to take initiative
