  • Weekly Pay:$1,900 to $2,100
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and medically complex patients
  • Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygen saturation, and other clinical indicators
  • Recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and promptly communicate significant changes to the appropriate clinical team
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely
  • Manage IV lines, central lines, drains, catheters, wound-care needs, and other patient-care devices
  • Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, and other acute medical conditions
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, procedures, treatments, and discharge activities
  • Provide post-operative and wound care according to patient needs and provider orders
  • Monitor patients receiving cardiac medications, anticoagulants, and other high-alert medications as required
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, lifestyle changes, and discharge instructions
  • Promote fall prevention, infection prevention, mobility, nutrition, hydration, and overall patient safety
  • Respond appropriately to rapid responses, emergencies, and code situations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, CNAs, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Follow facility policies, infection prevention procedures, HIPAA requirements, and patient safety standards
Qualifications
  • Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry nursing
  • Ability to identify and interpret common cardiac rhythms
  • Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, and comprehensive patient assessment
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize effectively during night-shift operations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
