Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care on a designated stroke unit with neuro and neurosurgical patients. The candidate will work day shifts, float between units as needed, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a JCAHO-designated Neuro Center of Excellence.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission), ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications, 1 year of experience, experience with neuro patient care, comfortable with NIH stroke scale and various neurology diagnoses including neurosurgery, Epic charting experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on a neuroscience/neuro telemetry unit, experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro step-down, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, traumatic brain injury unit experience
- Additional Information: Must be able to float between units as needed; dedicated stroke unit with JCAHO designation and thrombectomy capability; special equipment includes neuro-specific devices. Candidates should include responses to required questions regarding prior employment at a Providence facility. Compliance documentation and references are required before start date.
