Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Texas

Schedule: Rotating shifts with potential weekend requirements; maximum patient ratio of 6:1
Highlights:- 16-bed unit with potential to flex up to 20 beds based on hospital census needs
- Standard medical/surgical patient population with opportunities for orthopedic and neuro-surgery care
- Meditech EMR system; standard nursing equipment and technology
- Collaborative team environment with charge nurse, RN, and PCA support on each shift
- Potential floating to other medical/surgical units within the facility
- 13-month assignment supporting a busy acute care environment
Requirements:- Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state license
- Minimum 1 year of acute medical/surgical experience within the last year (required)
- Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients simultaneously
- Preferred: 2+ years of acute med/surg experience; orthopedic, neuro-surgery, or telemetry background strongly preferred
- Proficiency in standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter management, central line maintenance, medication administration, and EHR documentation
