Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Rotational Weekends
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on an Oncology unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- Perform medical, surgical, and chemotherapy-related nursing procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and Patient Care Technicians
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to comparable units as needed per unit guidelines
- Participate in rotational weekend assignments
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or through Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Medical-Surgical skills are required - candidates without this background will not be considered
- Oncology nursing experience required
- Ability to adhere to facility dress code (Methodist Navy Blue scrubs)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an Oncology-specific unit setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR platform
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncology patient protocols
