Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed Telemetry unit operating under an RN/LVN team model with 9-10 patients per team
Monitor and interpret telemetry data using bedside cardiac monitors and related equipment
Administer medications and manage IV therapy using IV pumps
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with charge nurses, LVNs, and PCTs across night shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Float to other med/surg units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure (or compact license) valid in the state of Texas
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
Availability to work at minimum every other weekend; scheduling based on greatest unit need
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Meditech EMR
Prior travel or contract nursing experience
