TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia.
UNIT: MS/TELE Float Pool
CLINICAL INTERVIEWS W/MANAGER FINAL APPROVAL
Unit Information:
Beds: Each Med Surg unit has 20-36 beds
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years Med/Tele RN exp
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Certs Required:
BLS required
ACLS preferred – traveler will be required to pass and EKG competency exam during onboarding
Certification in med surg is a plus
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Pyxis
Monitors: Phillips
Unit specific equipment: VS3 vital sign monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips,
Patient Types: Med surg / Telemetry – all inpatient med surg units
Patient Ratios:
RN: 1:4-6
LPN: 1:4-6
CNA: up to 1:14
Skills required:
Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometer,
Common drips: Insulin drips, Heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR not BP, MUST BE PROFICIENT IN ALL CARDIAC DRIPS
Floating: Travelers are utilized in a float pool capacity – will be required to float to all Med/Tele units in house, as needed
Orientation (facility and unit):
1 day orientation with work on educational modules
2 days departmental
