Description:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requires critical thinking skills and decisiveness.
Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of functioning in a stressful environment.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Responsible for patient care in a telemetry unit.
Utilizes virtual sitter monitoring and works collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers.
Floating to other departments may be required as needed.
Weekend and holiday shifts may be necessary based on departmental needs.
