Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic Telemetry unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
Deliver post-operative care for patients following total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological procedures
Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, bedside pulse-oximetry, cryotherapy devices, SCDs, and lift equipment
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, PCTs, and unit staff across day and night shifts
Float to Surgical Telemetry as needed; available for on-call during low census periods
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surg telemetry
Demonstrated telemetry competency
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
Experience with post-operative care in a telemetry setting
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
