Description: MUST HAVE BURN/WOUND CARE EXPERIENCE. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Experience in medical-surgical nursing is required. Wound care experience is necessary. Experience with wound vacs is preferred. Burn experience is also desirable. The unit features a 32-bed capacity, utilizing 24 beds at this time. Current staff includes 32 core members. Day shift staff maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5. Night shift staff also maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6. Patients may require more attention based on census. The unit is equipped for complex dressing changes, IV antibiotics, and pain management. Ideal candidates will showcase qualities such as kindness, patience, hard work, and teamwork. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with employee staff.
