Job TitleTravel Registered Nurse - Telemetry / 2 West

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
- Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
- Administer medications and communicate effectively with all members of the care team
- Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the EMR system (Meditech)
- Float to Med/Surg units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Demonstrate a friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused approach to care
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
- Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
- Ability to manage and care for 4-6 patients simultaneously
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- 2+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
- Background in orthopedics or neurosurgery nursing
- Med/Surg/Telemetry combined experience
