Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry.
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience.
The unit consists of 36 beds with patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery and a maximum of 6:1.
At times, the ratio may stretch to 7:1.
On both day and night shifts, there will be Patient Care Technicians available.
Unit Clerks will be present on day shifts to assist with administrative tasks.
The unit is equipped with remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps.
Documentation will be done using the Meditech system.
Staff will be expected to work every other weekend.
Agency staff will float first, with potential to float to Ortho/Med-Surg.
The goal is to maintain a 75% patient satisfaction rate.
Procedures performed on the unit include chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
The dress code requires scrubs, excluding camo.
Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided.
Currently, the unit has received the Daisy and Bee award certificates.
A monthly STAR award winner is recognized based on staff voting.
