Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit
Manage and monitor patients with significant histories of cardiac disease and related conditions
Support unit stabilization efforts by maintaining safe staffing coverage on the Cardiovascular Telemetry floor
Assist with precepting and training new hire RNs, including RN Residents, as the unit builds its core staff
Float to Med/Surg as needed based on unit demands
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
Cardiac telemetry nursing experience
Demonstrated ability and willingness to precept or train other nursing staff
High level of engagement and professionalism in a dynamic, evolving unit environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a cardiovascular or cardiac telemetry setting
Experience precepting new graduate or novice RNs
Comfort with floating to Med/Surg units when needed
