Description:
The unit has 28 beds and a dedicated staff that includes a director, manager, clinical nurse coordinator, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, patient care technicians, and unit secretaries.
Day shift staffing includes a clinical nurse coordinator, three registered nurses, three licensed vocational nurses, three patient care technicians, and one unit secretary.
Night shift staffing consists of a clinical nurse coordinator, three registered nurses, three licensed vocational nurses, three patient care technicians.
Patient ratios on the unit are 1:5-6.
Equipment utilized includes Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, glucometer, mobilab, and Welch Allyn.
The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech.
Key skills sought include telemetry monitoring and wound care.
Candidates should be flexible and dependable.
The ideal personality fit is someone who is caring and willing to collaborate as a team to meet patient needs.
Four weekend shifts are required every four-week schedule, and there is no on-call requirement.
General medical-surgical policies and guidelines are applicable on this unit.
