TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Corpus Christi, Texas, 78411!

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute medical/surgical experience within the last year License: Registered Nurse (RN) License Certifications: Required certifications relevant to the role Description: Data Collection: 05/04/2026 Unit information includes 8 inpatient beds and 8 admission unit beds, with the ability to flex up to 12 inpatient beds depending on overall hospital census. There are typically 10 staff members on the unit. Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, and 1 PCA. Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, and 1 PCA. The patient ratios can go up to a maximum of 6:1. Standard equipment includes EMR Meditech. The unit mainly consists of medical/surgical patients. Skill set recruitment focuses on candidates with the following: Must have: - Acute medical/surgical experience of at least 1 year within the last year. - Ability to care for 4 to 6 patients at a time. Preferred or nice to have: - Acute medical/surgical experience of 2+ years within the last year. - Preference for RNs with an orthopedic or neurosurgery background. - A background in medical/surgical/telemetry will also be sufficient. Typical procedures performed on the unit include care for medical/surgical patients. Standard nursing skills required are: - IV insertions - Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance - Central line maintenance - Medication administration - Communication with all members of the care team - Documentation in the electronic health record The best personality fit includes attributes of being friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused. Floating areas include medical/surgical units. Dress code is scrubs. The schedule includes normally rotating weekends as needed.
