Description:
This is a contract position for an RN in a telemetry unit.
The shift schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The unit has 34 private rooms.
The staffing typically includes a charge nurse along with 7 RNs and 3 patient care technicians during the night shift.
The patient ratios are 5:1.
Equipment includes GE Telemetry, Pyxis, and Welch Allen Vital Sign Monitors.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Candidates must be team players.
Preferred skills include certifications such as ACLS or ALS.
Typical procedures performed in this unit include stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube management.
Floating to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding may be required for this level of care.
Scheduling includes every other weekend.
