Job Title: Travel RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care Telemetry RN experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care Telemetry RN experience - BLS & ACLS Description: This position is for a Telemetry Registered Nurse. The unit has 18 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team. Staff includes 1 Charge Nurse, 3-4 Registered Nurses, and 2 Patient Care Technicians on day shift. Night shift consists of 1 Charge Nurse, 3-4 Registered Nurses, and 2 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are 5:1 for Registered Nurses. The unit utilizes GE wireless telemetry boxes and Welch Allen vital sign machines. EMR system is Meditech. Common skills required for this position include: - Neurovascular checks on limbs - Frequent ambulation and repositioning of patients - Orthopedic precautions and comprehensive pain control The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a teamwork-oriented mindset. This unit has experienced staff members, with many having over 10 years of experience. Teamwork is emphasized, and new staff members are welcomed warmly. The team treats a variety of trauma and orthopedic injuries, including blunt force trauma and standard telemetry patients, such as those with chest pain, strokes, and chronic cardiac conditions.
