Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an orthopedic telemetry unit. The role involves collecting data and providing patient care to post-operative patients undergoing total joint replacements, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological procedures. The position requires a team-oriented approach with a focus on effective communication and a positive attitude.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification(s) in Basic Life Support (BLS); no prior experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior Med-surg telemetry experience; Orthopedic telemetry experience is advantageous
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 23 beds with a staff of 9-10 members per shift, including registered nurses, patient care technicians, unit secretaries, and charge nurses
  • Typical procedures performed include post-operative care for total joint replacements, general surgeries, plastics, and gynecological procedures
  • Must demonstrate teamwork, strong communication skills, and a cheerful personality
  • On-call responsibilities may be required in periods of low census
