Travel Nurse (RN) - Tele (Telemetry)

Required Experience: Chest tubes, Tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs/Laryngectomies, Telemetry, Complex wounds and Central Lines- care and maintenance and blood draws. The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including: spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - MS/Tele - Inpatient Surgical Unit 4C 48's

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 48 hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• NH RN License or Compact License
• 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience
• Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit
• Required Experience: Chest tubes, Tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs/Laryngectomies, Telemetry, Complex wounds and Central Lines- care and maintenance and blood draws
• BLS
• Level I Trauma center but several years at a Level II Trauma center experience is acceptable

Other Details:

• 36 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients
• This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population
• This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients needs is our highest priority
• The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including: spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma
• Acute Care Surgical diagnosis: hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy
• RN Patient ratios: days: 1:4 nights 1:5
