**Join Our Dynamic ICU Team as a Seasonal Travel RN!**
**Job Description:**
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week option
- **Start Date:** 11/30
- **Location:** Kansas City, MO
- **Unit:** ICU
- **Number of Beds:** 32
- **Patient Ratios:** 2:1
**Unit Specifics:**
- **Unit Secretaries & Tech Availability:** Unit Secretary on-site from 0730-0000
- **Documentation System:** Meditech
- **Scheduling Requirements:**
- 3 twelve-hour shifts
- Every other weekend (or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period)
**Floating Policy:**
- To like units: NSICU, Cardiac Telemetry (4 North, 4 Central), Progressive Care (4 West), Burn Unit, ED Inpatient Overflow, and other areas as needed per hospital demand.
**Patient Experience Requirements:**
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred.
**Must Have Skills:**
- Trauma patient management
- IV administration of vasoactive medications
- Ventilator management
- Chest tube management
- Care of post-op surgical patients
- Cardiac rhythm identification and management
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Care of stroke patients
**Advanced Skills Required:**
- Hemodynamic and ventilator management
**Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- Chest tube placement
- Ventriculostomy
- Moderate sedation
- CRRT
- Therapeutic hypothermia
- ECMO
- Arterial line and central line placement
**Certifications Required:**
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
**Preferred but Not Required:**
- TNCC
**Dress Code:**
- **Top:** Navy scrub top (no t-shirts)
- **Bottoms:** Navy or black scrub bottoms
- **Jackets:** Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
- **Undershirts:** Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
