# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical ICU – Kansas

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; Patient ratio typically 1:2, or 1:1 for high acuity patients including post-CABG cases

Highlights:

  • 26-bed Surgical ICU specializing in trauma and post-surgical critical care
  • Advanced equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, and ECMO
  • Meditech EMR system
  • Diverse case mix including trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general surgical ICU patients
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced RNs and dedicated support staff
  • Travel nursing opportunity at a large trauma facility

Requirements:

  • Current Kansas RN license or ability to obtain
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
  • TNCC certification preferred
  • Prior experience at large trauma facilities strongly preferred
  • Experience with chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
