Candidates must have 1+ years of travel experience. The patient population includes adult complex surgical patients, including burns and acutely ill medical patients. The unit operates under a closed ICU model. All patients are cared for by the same multidisciplinary team. Advanced practice providers serve as the primary ICU care providers. The care team is supported by admitting surgical teams and consultants. The ICU model includes responding clinicians supervised by in-house attending ICU staff physicians. There is support from critical care fellows within the unit.
