Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: EPIC Experience Required Description: Travelers will be expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays. If the contract overlaps only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will be expected to work 1 of the 2 holidays. Please do not request more than 1 holiday off. Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If the candidate passes the clinical review and meets guidelines, they will be sent for the final decision. A manager will conduct interviews. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. EPIC experience is required. RTO (requested time off) is limited to a maximum of 7 days. Weekends will be required every other week. The traveler will be expected to work 1 of 2 upcoming major holidays and surrounding days. Travelers may float to all ICU floors. The facility provides care for patients with various conditions including COVID-19. The facility is tobacco and fragrance free. Some patients may have various surgical needs including complex abdominal surgeries. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as respiratory services and pharmacy. Patients in this unit may include adults and geriatrics. The daily patient ratio for nights is typically 2:1. Candidates are expected to have specific skills related to intensive care management. This includes management of ventilated patients and titration of vasoactive drips. Various special equipment and procedures may be utilized in this unit. All certifications must be from approved organizations. Candidates must submit all necessary credentials upon request.
