Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Duration: 19 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Epic experience required Experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps preferred High acuity ICU experience required Description: The position involves caring for high acuity surgical patients. Patient ratio is 1:2. Float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs is expected. Emergency team assignments may be required during critical events. Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy is beneficial. Candidates must have experience with post-operative surgical recovery patients. Transplant recovery experience for liver, heart, lungs, kidney, and pancreas patients is essential. Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support staff are vital. Experience with various medical procedures and technologies is required. Candidates must be comfortable with a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong clinical skills in managing complex patient cases are necessary. Successful candidates will receive additional training as needed. No scheduling requests for blocked shifts will be accommodated. Following established safety and infection prevention protocols is mandatory.
