Description:
This position requires caring for patients in a surgical intensive care unit.
Upon accepting the assignment, the unit manager may assign you to an “Emergency Team,” where you will need to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be a part of the relief team.
You will be expected to report as assigned by your immediate unit manager in the case of an emergency event.
You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with this expectation.
The patient ratio will be 1:2.
You will float to other ICUs and step-down units as needed.
Candidates must be comfortable with high-acuity cases including post-operative care, general surgery recovery, and transplant recovery.
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy experience is required.
Candidates need to demonstrate proficiency in managing a wide array of critical care techniques.
Essential skills include care of ventilated patients, central line management, titration of cardiac drips, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
Applicants must have experience in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.
A multi-disciplinary team approach is utilized, collaborating with various specialists to provide comprehensive care.
All candidates must meet strict compliance requirements and be prepared for a thorough onboarding process.
