Job Title: RN ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 4 years ICU experience License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: - Experience with tracheostomy, ventilators, bipap, chest tubes, arterial lines, Swan Ganz, cardiovascular complications, vasopressor and sedation/analgesia titration, CRRT, insulin drips, wound vac, balloon pump, and impella. - Ability to manage complex patient types including surgical/trauma cases, post-operative care, and neurological cases. - Familiarity with patient ratios based on acuity in both ICU and stepdown settings. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a critical care setting. The candidate will work in an intensive care unit that manages complex cases. Responsibilities include providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The patient population includes surgical/trauma patients and those requiring complex abdominal surgeries. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and act swiftly in emergencies. The unit is equipped with advanced medical technology and charting systems. Support is available from a resource nurse, house supervisor, respiratory therapy, and hospitalist teams. The nurse will also have access to assistance from an IV team for difficult access needs. Weekend rotations are required, with expectations for holiday coverage. The position does not require on-call duties. Nurses are expected to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates with previous travel experience are preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome if they meet experience requirements.
