Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation or nights only; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs; 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts; 72-hour orientation provided
Highlights:
- Specialized SICU environment caring for complex patient populations including hemorrhagic shock, sepsis, ARDS, stroke, and post-craniotomy patients
- Advanced critical care procedures including external ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and vasopressor titration
- Epic electronic medical record system utilized facility-wide
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- 12-bed unit with daily census of approximately 11 patients
- Float opportunities to MICU, SICU, medical-surgical, and progressive care units for diverse clinical experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract acceptance
