Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Trauma/Surgical experience required - Level 1 Trauma experience required - PA Line experience required Description: Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Experience in trauma and surgical nursing is essential. Candidates must possess Level 1 Trauma experience and PA line management skills. Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. TNCC certification is preferred. The unit focuses on managing various traumatic injuries, including motor vehicle collisions, penetrating wounds, and falls. Additional cases include cancer surgeries and liver transplants. Nurses will be expected to work three out of five winter holidays. Candidates should be prepared to care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
