- Must have MICU and/or SICU experience.
- Independent and competent ability to work with complex, high-acuity medical and trauma/neuro/surgical ICU patients is required.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Experience with trauma level I is required, while trauma level II experience is preferred.
Description:
Must be able to work independently with complex patients.
This position is not for novice or entry-level RNs.
Floating primarily within the critical care division is expected.
Will float to other units based on census needs.
Weekend needs will vary based on the unit’s demands.
Patient ratios are 2:1.
Candidates will be required to possess skills in managing various medical procedures and technologies related to critical care.
Ideal candidates should be familiar with extensive patient care protocols and emergency responses in the ICU setting.
The unit handles a wide range of patient diagnoses, including ARDS, COPD, sepsis, trauma, and neurosurgery.
Supports include interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
Special procedures may include ECMO, ventilation management, and advanced monitoring techniques.
The environment includes a blend of medical and surgical ICU, necessitating flexibility and adaptability.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage and respond to diverse medical situations effectively.
