Description:
The role involves working in a high acuity ICU setting.
The patient ratio is 1:2.
There is a float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs.
Specific experience with transplant recovery is essential.
Travelers may be assigned to an emergency team and should be prepared to stay at the facility during emergencies.
Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy is a plus.
General post-operative care for surgical recovery patients is required.
Candidates should have skills in managing various medical devices and procedures, including arterial line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management.
Infection prevention and interpretation of dysrhythmias are important components of patient care.
Availability for weekend coverage is necessary.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.
The patient population consists of adults and geriatrics with diverse diagnoses including cardiac surgery patients and transplant patients.
Candidates must be comfortable with various intensive care scenarios and treatments.
Only travelers residing more than 65 miles from the facility are eligible to apply.
Submissive candidates must have manager or supervisor references available.
