Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week; 13-week assignment; shift details and weekend requirements to be discussed during interview

Highlights:

  • 16-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit specializing in surgical and oncology patient populations
  • Estimated patient ratio of 1:2 with assignments based on acuity and skill level
  • Advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
  • Flexible scheduling arranged one month in advance; floating as needed based on facility requirements
  • Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
  • Exposure to critical procedures including CRRT, hypothermia protocol, central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Texas (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocols strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with surgical and oncology patient populations
  • Meditech documentation system experience preferred
