Experience with CRRT and hemodynamic monitoring
Experience in managing chest tubes and ventilators
Familiarity with various drains and surgical sites
Description:
The position requires Registered Nurses to be flexible and open to floating.
Candidates must have experience in busy, large level trauma settings.
Self-scheduling is not an option.
Every other weekend is required.
EPIC charting is required for this role.
Successful candidates typically have three or more years of experience.
They should also have previous travel experience.
The unit consists of 12 beds.
The nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3 depending on acuity and emergency admissions.
RNs will be required to titrate various drips including vasopressin, epinephrine, and dobutamine.
There is a charge nurse on each shift, who may take a full assignment if necessary.
Intermittent nurse aids or patient care techs may be present based on census.
Intensivists and advanced practice providers are available 24/7 in the unit.
Respiratory therapists are also present 24/7 to assist.
RNs are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips.
There is no self-scheduling; shifts are organized based on unit needs.
Weekend requirements vary from four to six days in a six-week period.
RNs may be required to float to other ICUs within the hospital based on staffing needs.
The dress code requires teal bottoms and coordinating scrub tops, with restrictions on nail treatments.
