Cardiovascular Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 48 Hours Guaranteed Per Week
  • Weekend Protocol: Every other weekend required.
  • On-Call Protocol: On-call shifts may be required based on departmental needs.
  • Assignment Length: 13-Week Contract (Start Date: 08/24/2026)
  • Attendance Policy [STRICT 3-STRIKE POLICY]: Unexcused absences or arriving more than 20 minutes late 3 times results in immediate contract termination (communicable illnesses or hospitalizations with official documentation are reviewed as exceptions).
  • Local Traveler Radius Rule: Candidates residing within a 35-mile radius of the facility are categorized as local travelers, which carries a 10% rate reduction.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Clinical Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1+ years of recent Stepdown / PCU experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated cardiac proficiency.
  • Travel Nursing Experience [HARDSTOP]: Prior travel nursing experience is required.
  • EKG Interpretation Proficiency [HARDSTOP]: High comfortability with telemetry monitoring and advanced dysrhythmia/EKG rhythm interpretation.
  • Floating Requirement: Must be willing and flexible to float to similar inpatient units as needed (e.g., Med-Surg, Vascular, Stroke, or Trauma units).
  • Licensure & Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active Michigan State RN License (verification via LARA & Nursys required at submission; any license encumbrances require an explanatory write-up).
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
    • Completed Specialty RN Skills Checklist within the past 12 months.
