Unit: IMC / Stepdown / PCU – 38 beds

Hours: 36/48 hrs/week
Weekend: Every other weekend

Float: Yes, within scope
Patient Ratio: 1:4
First-Time Travelers: No
Local Candidates: Accepted – no radius
IL License: Active Illinois RN license required; pending license not accepted
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year RN experience
- Travel experience required
- BLS + NIHSS required
- ACLS preferred
- Previous IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
Key Skills
- Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- IVs, PICC/central lines, ports and arterial lines
- Blood products and phlebotomy
- BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC and ventilated patients
- Tracheostomy care with ventilators required
- Chest tubes
- Cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Heparin protocols
- Rapid response/code situations
- Pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery
- Neuro stepdown, CVA, TBI and neurosurgical patients
