Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Auburn, New York.

Shift: Days/ Nights - 3x12s or 4x12 
 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of recent Step-Down/PCU experience
  • Community Hospital experience required
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • NIHSS
  • Previous Charge experience preferred

Patient Population

  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Post Heart Catheterization Patients
  • Post Vascular Procedures
  • Respiratory Failure (BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm)
  • Cardiac Dysrhythmias
  • Stroke/CVA Patients

Unit Details

  • Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
  • Daily Census: 9
  • 9-Bed Unit
  • Medication System: Pyxis
  • EMR: Paragon (training provided)

  • Chest Tube Management
  • PICC & Central Line Care
  • Blood Product Administration
  • Procedural Sedation Monitoring
  • Heparin Protocols

  • IV Starts and Maintenance
  • Infection Prevention & Isolation Precautions

Schedule Requirements

  • Every Other Weekend (EOW)
  • Every Other Holiday (EOH)
  • No Block Scheduling

Telemetry Test Requirement

  • Required during orientation
  • 15-question assessment
  • Must score 80% or higher
  • Two attempts allowed
  • Failure after second attempt results in contract cancellation
